PRESENTATION 7:30 to 9:00: New Features in Photoshop CS2 with
Robert Barnes.

Robert is an award winning documentary film maker who worked at
Turner Broadcasting and CNN as Chief Photographer for 14 years.

He joined Apple Computer in 1986 and spent 10 years with the company.
His last position was Product Manager for QuickTime VR. In 1997 he
left Apple to pursue his dream of working full time as a digital
artist. He was on the Alpha and Beta design teams for Photoshop CS.
He was a co-author of the Book Photoshop 7 Magic.

He is represented by August Gallery in the Design Center and he
supplements his income by teaching Photoshop to private individuals.

............………….......... RAFFLE

This month's raffle items are tied directly, indirectly, or not at
all to our presentation on Photoshop CS2 by SFMUG's own Rob Barnes.
The big item this month is a copy of "Adobe Photoshop CS2 Studio
Techniques" by Ben Willmore, a $50 value. Other items include:
A 256 MB Crucial Gizmo! USB flash drive (a $33 value)
"Cool Mac Apps" by John Tollett with Robin Williams (a $22 value)
An iTunes Music Store gift certificate (a $10 value)
i-rocks IR-7300 800 dpi USB optical mouse (a $10 value)
Any of these items can be yours for a measly $2 raffle ticket, or you
can buy three tickets for $5. Support SFMUG by purchasing raffle
tickets as if they were PowerBall tickets, except you can't win a
$349 million dollar jackpot from us!

Ed. Of all the duties connected with the SFMUG, the raffle
chairman is always under a lot of pressure to provide interesting
gifts to be raffled. Steve Zappe works hard throughout each month to
find worthwhile material for the raffle and we all appreciate his
contribution.

Your purchase of raffle tickets allows this organization to raise
necessary funds in support of our outreach programs.

From the whacky fun side:
You control a Yeti that smacks a penguin for distance... My record is
305.1

From the serious side:
This one deals with a controversial topic, the Iraq war and it's
fallen soldiers. It shows their faces in headshots, but don't look
if you don't want to see them. I list it because It represents to me
how the www can be used to bring a face to the overwhelming nature of
our global community and it's troubles. It is by The Washington Post.
