We will cover topics; protecting your Mac while it is networked and reading email and securing data through disc utilities and backup. You need to be there if you've ever wondered, How often do I need to backup? How do I protect myself from viruses, do I need to? Are DVD good for backups? Plus much more including tips and tricks and a group discussion. So whether you are brand new to computers or a seasoned veteran come and hear the latest techniques or let others in on your cool tricks. Once again this year the City of Santa Fe's recycling program is hosting a Hazardous Waste Recycling Day, where you can bring not only poisonous fluids, etc., but also computer equipment. It's on Sunday, April 24, 9am to 4pm (get there early to avoid the line). You can bring your old computer stuff to the Transfer Station at 1686 Paseo De Vista (over the hill behind the Solana neighborhood): Drive west on Alameda from Camino Alire; after a while you'll see a sign on the right announcing TRANSFER STATION; turn right up that road to the top of the hill (Paseo de Vista), and turn left.
