Motorola's iTunes Phone Gets Closer to Reality The Motorola E790 iTunes cell phone that the company announced a year ago took another step toward reality on Saturday, when the Federal Communications Commission announced that the phone had been approved for sale in the United States. The filing with the US Patents and Trademarks Office is dated August 10, and covers all all types of iPod peripherals. The application also suggests further extensions for the product family, saying "a full line of electronic and mechanical accessories and computer software for portable and handheld digital electronic devices for recording, organizing, transmitting, manipulating, and reviewing text, data, audio, image, and video files." Version 2.2 of the Metasploit Framework contains an exploit module called afp_loginext which will exploit the AFP bufferflow problem in an OSX 10.3.3 system. It is unknown at this time if this exploit will work on unpatched OSX 10.3.0-2 systems, it does not work on unpatched 10.2.8 systems.
